“The Soul is Water” by Sudeep Adhikari

A blank is waiting to get painted,
a bank shimmers with slimes and silt.
I have waited for you;
liquid caresses, and the kisses
of ether, and fires of cloud.

Sometimes, I make things
melt. The universe contorts with
pleasure, we go soft
like the gnarled underground
of a rainforest.

The trees are my limbs, sky is
my void. The rain is my
liquid self, anti-gravitating to naught.
